For the “Butter Yellow” Bride
Kaylee From KC Photography
Brighten up your ceremony and reception space with a soft romantic color. Butter yellow is the color of the season. We were here to bring an unforgettable styled shoot with this romantic shade. This soft pale yellow is perfect for spring and summer wedding palettes.
Looking to add this shade to your wedding color pallet? A whole team of vendors and I wanted to share with you how we used it to decorate Berry Acres. This warm hue provided a comforting environment for celebration.
The coordination team at Berry Acres partnered up with Jazmyn with Hustle and Bustle Events planner mid May to begin creating the ideal design and theme for this shoot. With Jazmyn’s attention to detail, willingness to assist in gathering vendors, my desire to create the perfect design for the “color of the season” and my familiarity of the venue space, we were able to create something beautiful.

We were approached with an idea from our friend Jana, over at Banana Who? Booth to organize a shoot that would display her photobooth trailer in a fun and unique way. We were so onboard with this idea! We wanted to have her set up as the “altar” for a ceremony experience! Of course we chose to do it lakeside as many of our brides at Berry Acres are called to the water for the most beautiful backdrop.
One of the first vendors I contacted when we began planning was Kaylee From KC. We were so excited that she responded quickly with a “yes” to being our photographer for this shoot. I am so happy to be able to share her art with you!

Mike Tsai has been a friend to us in the wedding industry for a while and we were happy to finally have him out to shoot some video footage for us. He created the perfect recap video of our beautiful day.
Have you considered hiring a content creator for your wedding day? We would recommend Carmen with Socially Weddings. She captured moments beautifully on her Iphone and provided fun behind the scenes clips for us to look back on and remember a fun day with wedding vendor friends. This also allowed for us to share content from this day quickly with little editing needed.

We were glad to have one of our preferred officiants join us on shoot day to pose as an officiant in our ceremony space. We appreciate Kerry’s motivation to help in other ways on wedding day, to ensure a proper connection with those she is around.

Consider featuring a story-book inspired cake. Combine the vintage cake trend with the trending color butter yellow! When I first worked with Natali at Fountain City Bakery at the beginning of the year, I knew that I wanted to work with her again. She is an expert in creating vintage cake design and that was exactly what I wanted!
Yolanda with Veronica’s Garden has a passion for florals and creating. This theme compliments green and white in the rest of the arrangement. We also took the opportunity to add a bit of a brighter yellow in the arrangements to enhance the look of the tablescape. For the bridal bouquet, we complimented the bride’s sleek and modern dress with this timeless color, bringing a brighter glow to the bride’s look.

Drew with Hue’s formal was helpful in every way on shoot day. He was there from the beginning helping with whatever we needed, whether that was cutting paper for the menu cards or clipping the bride’s dress, or draping fabric on the head table. Along with all of this, he designed the groom’s aesthetic based perfectly on our mood board. He created multiple looks that could be paired with the different dress changes our bride had.

The dream team for makeup and hair arrived early for us on shoot day to create a bright and sophisticated look on our model, Kate. The artist Sam with a simple makeup look that highlighted Kate’s natural features beautifully and Madilyn slicked back a mid bun to pull the focus more to Kate’s accessories like the modern neck scarf.

Kate wore a sleeveless and sleek a-line gown with a subtle corset look. This was paired with a neck scarf creating a modern look with a touch of traditional. Stephanie with Stephanie’s Bridal was so kind to us during the process of picking out the perfect dress for this shoot. She not only provided the ceremony dress, she provided the most unique “party” dress! With fun tulle and ribbon belt.
Pearls on the bride’s shoes and earrings provided the timeless touch.

I loved being able to pair this color with earth tones by incorporating wicker and gold accents. This created a modern garden party look.
We love a country elegant vibe at Berry Acres and this color palette enhances it on the romantic scale. What is a simple fix to create a more elegant look? Smooth full length linens! Shinneman and Co was so kind to provide her handmade linens.
For the reception tables, we wanted to incorporate a summer glow so we included our butter yellow color in the napkins, taper candles, menu cards and candle stick holders. Let’s talk more about these candle stick holders. They were intricately made by Kristina with the Garden Gallery KC. She recreated my vision for something unique perfectly. She continued to bless us with her talent even after the shoot by selecting some of the florals to design petal rings for some of us girls here at Berry Acres.

We integrated our theme into our invitation suite along with our earthy greens and fun cursive font. The invite is the first impression your friends and family will have, so set the tone with a delicate and fresh yellow hue. For our shoot, this specific suite was creatively designed by Mariah with Signed by Love MB.

Frame your nuptials with a unique trailer experience. Banana Who Booth paired perfectly with our lakeside setting and fresh color theme.
For the ceremony area, we wanted more than just florals and drapery, so we added balloons! With just a little time for setup on the day of the shoot, Design 89 was able to craft just the addition we needed.
Add a bit of elegance by extending your drapery and florals to the ground.

Sip some sunshine. Pair this fun color with a fun drink! Jump on another trend and have a boba cart at your wedding. Pick from a variety of flavors and sweetness levels for the perfect sweet treat for your guests to enjoy on wedding day! The owners of Boba KC were also willing to model for us all day. They jumped on the opportunity and we are so grateful for their beautiful smiles :)
Throughout the whole day the one thing talked about most was Cakeable’s cookies! A simple chocolate chip cookie was elevated with some salt and the perfect cookie recipe! I promise you won’t be disappointed with Amber and her dessert menu.

Did you know that Berry Acres turned 12 years old at the end of May?! We had to celebrate! A&M Marquee Lettering was gracious to provide us light up letters to display “12 years.” So many years later and Angela and Alan Berry are just as excited for each wedding and every couple that joins the Berry Acres family :)
