Meet Lorelei! She began her journey in the wedding industry in 2021 after what was supposed to be a simple trip to find a senior prom dress turned into an exciting new career. That visit to a bridal boutique led to a job helping brides find their dream dresses, where she quickly discovered a passion for making people feel loved, celebrated, and confident on one of the biggest days of their lives.

Since then, Lorelei has gained experience on both sides of the wedding aisle. In addition to working in a bridal boutique, she spent time at a tuxedo shop helping grooms find the perfect look for their wedding day. Now, as part of the Berry Acres team, she enjoys helping couples create unforgettable wedding experiences from start to finish. Read her expertise below on “ Finding your perfect wedding attire”.

Everyone looks forward to seeing what the bride and groom will wear on their wedding day, but no one is more excited—or sometimes more nervous—than the couple themselves. Choosing the perfect wedding attire can feel overwhelming, but these simple tips can help make the experience enjoyable and memorable.

Start with Inspiration

Before scheduling appointments, spend some time gathering ideas. Watch classic bridal movies, look through family wedding photos, browse bridal boutique collections, and save inspiration on Pinterest. Make a list of styles you love, features you like, and details you know you don’t want. Keep an open mind, though—it’s completely normal for your preferences to evolve throughout the process.

Keep an Open Mind

One of the best pieces of advice is to try on a variety of styles—even the ones you think you’ll never like. Sometimes the dress or suit you least expect ends up being the perfect fit.

Lorelei recalls helping a bride who insisted she didn’t want a white, strapless ballgown with ruffles. After a little encouragement, she agreed to try it on—and it became the dress she chose for her wedding day. Experiences like these are a great reminder that the perfect look isn’t always what you imagined.

Bring a Small Support Team

When it’s time for appointments, consider bringing just three or four of your closest family members or friends. Having too many opinions can become overwhelming and make decision-making more difficult. The people who join you should be those you trust most to provide honest encouragement, thoughtful advice, and unwavering support.

Trust Your Instincts

At the end of the day, no one knows you better than you know yourself. If a dress or suit feels right, trust that feeling. Your wedding attire should make you feel confident, comfortable, and completely yourself.

Tips for the Groom

Grooms deserve just as much attention when choosing their wedding-day look. Start by selecting a suit or tuxedo color that complements your wedding palette and reflects the overall style of your celebration. Then, try on several different fits and styles to find what feels best.

Just like brides, it’s perfectly okay for grooms to visit multiple suit and tuxedo shops before making a final decision. Finding the right fit is worth the extra time.

Finding the perfect dress, suit, or tux doesn’t always happen during the first appointment—and that’s okay. The process should be exciting, not stressful. Take your time, keep an open mind, and remember that the best choice is the one that makes you feel like the best version of yourself.

At Berry Acres, we’re honored to be part of your wedding journey and can’t wait to see your unique style come to life on your special day!
