Attire Tips for Brides and Grooms

Hello from your Berry Acres family!
My name is Lorelei; I started working in the wedding industry in 2021. I walked into a bridal shop looking for my senior prom dress and I walked out with a new job. This new job was to help brides find their dream dress and I have learned so much from working in a bridal boutique to now working here at Berry Acres! From there, I knew my passion in life was to make people feel loved, happy and bring dreams to reality. Since 2021 I have also worked in a tux shop getting to know the side of the grooms and now I am here at Berry Acres.
Everyone is excited to see what the bride and groom will wear on their wedding day, but nobody is probably more curious, more stressed, and excited then the two that are getting married.
So, let’s talk about tips to help you find your dream dress and the best suit/tux for the big day.
First, start with inspiration! That may look like watching old bridal movies, going through family members' wedding dresses, looking at bridal boutiques’ collections and, and looking at Pinterest. Create a list of things you like, love and dislike. And remember that it is okay if you change your mind on what you like, love and dislike.

The second, go in and try on wedding dresses, suits and tuxedos. My best advice to you is to just try everything on, even if it is not what you imagined. Sometimes the most unexpected happens. I had a bride who did not want a white ballgown dress, that was strapless and with ruffles. Guess what I made her try on? That exact dress she did not want to try on, and guess what! That was her dress.
My third tip to you is to bring only three to four people with you. Inviting everyone to help you find the dress might start to feel overwhelming, listening to everyone's input. Trying on dresses should be fun and exciting! These people should mean the world to you. You should be able to trust them in their advice, guidance and support. Which brings me to my last tip is to make sure you listen to your gut. You know yourself more than anyone. If something feels right, then you know it's meant to be.
For the Grooms, find the color you like for the suit/tux. Make sure it pairs with the color scheme and the vibe of your wedding day. Then just like the brides, try on the jacket of the suit or tux. You want to feel your absolute best in it! It is also okay for the grooms to go to a couple of other suite and tux shops to find the right fit.

Don't worry, all of this sounds like a lot. So, remember it is more than okay that it may take more than one appointment to find the dress and suit and that you, the bride and groom, know yourself more than anyone.
